Punjabi Classes
Punjabi classes play a vital role in helping our future generation stay connected to their language, culture, and heritage. By learning Punjabi, children and young people are better able to understand their roots, communicate with elders, and appreciate the rich history and values passed down through generations.
Learning Punjabi also helps young members of the Sangat to read and understand Gurbani, strengthening their connection to Sikhi and their involvement within the Gurdwara. It builds confidence, cultural identity, and a sense of belonging within the community.
Beyond cultural and religious importance, Punjabi is a valuable life skill. Being bilingual supports cognitive development, improves communication skills, and opens up future opportunities in education, travel, and employment. Most importantly, it helps ensure that our language and traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.
We encourage parents and guardians to support and enrol their children in Punjabi classes, helping them grow with a strong sense of identity, pride, and community.
